The gender pay gap for HR directors closed this year as female HR bosses saw their overall earnings increase by an average of 11% this year, well ahead of their male counterparts who saw their pay increase by just over 4%.
But the research conducted by pay specialist CELRE, reveals that despite this surge in pay, senior female HR salaries were still on average £5,000 less than their male colleagues, despite women dominating the industry by a ratio of 4:1.
So despite being the department that is tasked with eliminating pay inequality, it would seem that a significant gap still exists.
