TRAINING NEWS

  • “Three quarters of UK bosses say carry on training
    in a recession”

“Recent research conducted by the Association of Colleges (ACO), reveals that three quarters of company directors polled, believe it is important to invest in training during the recession with 84% of bosses claiming that employees are far more efficient following training.

This research coincides with the Government’s ‘Train to Gain’ programme, designed to help small businesses, by making £520 million in grants available this year. Much of this funding will be used for management, leadership and business performance improvement training.

In addition, the UK Commission for Employment recent press campaign, highlighted that companies who don’t invest in training are more than twice as likely to fail, than those that do.”
